‘A successful collaboration thanks to a quick and personal approach’

The beginning

Dennis van Dijk, founder of Forp, became acquainted with Martijn Traas director Van der Ven auto’s exactly one year ago during the Nationale Jeugdronde in Roosendaal. Through a business relation they came into contact with each other and from that moment on the Forp team has been providing support in filling various vacancies, writing vacancy texts and increasing visibility.

At the beginning of this year, Martijn submitted the request for help for a suitable HR manager to Forp. And it was urgent because the current HR manager had indicated that he would be going on a trip around the world in the near future.

Within a month there was a successful match. Dennis found the HR manager Martijn was looking for. A successful placement thanks to a personal approach.

Our partnership

The Roosendaal-based company Forp, which works nationwide and recently also internationally, focuses on HR consulting, recruitment, secondment and recruitment & selection. ‘There was no escaping Dennis,’ Martijn says with a laugh about Dennis’ approach.

‘His enthusiasm, persuasiveness and decisiveness were decisive. We are not an average company. When you unleash a standard selection procedure on our company, you very often get people who don’t fit into the corporate culture. Forp sensed this perfectly, tailored the texts accordingly and found the right employees for us.

Fast growth

Van der Ven Auto’s of Roosendaal was founded 45 years ago by Wim van der Ven sr. as a hardware store. After in 1998 his son Wim and in 2006 son-in-law Martijn Traas joined the management, it quickly developed into a professional full-service company in the automotive industry leading in dismantling and car recycling. Fifteen years ago they had 25 employees, now over 135 and they are and will continue to be looking for staff.

Recycling

Martijn says proudly, “We deal in over 35,000 cars a year and have 60,000 auto parts in stock. Hundreds of meters of racks full of bumpers, seats, rims, tires, windows, nozzles, you name it. All “disassembled” from cars we pick up daily across the country.

In addition to trading in dismantled car parts, we also deal in used car buying and selling and recycling. We believe in reusing car parts for a better environment. We are fast becoming one of the most modern dismantling companies in Europe!

Did you know that we reuse 97% of your old car? When a car is totaled, we take out the fluids, such as oil, gasoline and cooling water, which go through underground pipes to storage tanks. The tires go to companies that turn them into sidewalk tiles, for example, and plastic can still be reused in cars and construction.’

Venyard unique

‘All operations take place on our own business park of some 11 hectares, which includes offices, a dismantling hall, a sales office, a garage and a warehouse of no less than 20,000m². In addition, we have our own Venyard. This has existed for 4 years now and here you can dismantle parts of our cars yourself, at fixed low prices. This concept is unique in the Netherlands.

Our formula creates benefits for the consumer and the environment. This makes our working method very unique and at the same time successful, which is why we are currently experiencing great growth.

Many thousands of visitors/customers come here every week. These are often handy people who are interested in cars so how nice is it that the employees of Venyard recruit among these visitors/customers. This is very successful so a great win-win!’

Success

‘Forp certainly did not disappoint and did an excellent job. Right from the start there was the click and they relieved us and helped us with our issues. They quickly delivered candidates with the right profile, fitting our company. The lines are short and communication is good.

If we need extra help/knowledge, we know where to find Forp and that works very well. Through Forp, I have found my HR manager and several good employees and I am happy with that.

In short, energetic and extremely careful. A pleasant experience that I can recommend to anyone. Dennis’ approach of “just let me take care of it now, and it will be fine” has certainly lived up to his promise.’
